Buckhorn Lake (about 20 minutes north of Peterborough) is connected to Pigeon Lake. It is quite deep at 46 feet at it's deepest and has many islands in the large area of the lake. It is a great fishing lake with largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, muskellunge, bluegill, yellow perch and black crappie.
Cameron Lake is bordered by the village of Fenelon Falls and is a popular lake, lined with cottages. The lake is quite deep for it's size and is a great place to learn how to boat. The water is clean and clear and has great fishing as well.
Canal Lake is a medium sized, scenic lake with locks, dams & bridges. It has great fishing due to it's varying shoals and water features. It is the most western lake in the Kawarthas, a short drive to Orillia or Newmarket.
Four Mile Lake is one of the highest lakes in the Kawarthas and is a landlocked, quiet lake. It is lined with cliffs and rugged shorelines. It has great watersports, fishing, and a great lake community. A beautiful spot to search for a cottage for sale!
